Permadeath is a campaign-long setting and EA says changing it requires a new campaign. Beskar Mode uses one save and disables manual saving. Treat defeats and operator losses as potentially irreversible; current player reports about Hawks death are not an official universal rule, so do not test the outcome on your only campaign.
