Direct answer
Prioritize upgrades that unlock options or compound across the whole campaign: the first Black Market access, the first Medbay or Droid Repair capacity you actually need, Mid Zone Influence rewards, Combat Readiness, and an extra Weapon Mod slot. Delay deep healing discounts, extra crew capacity, or weapon branches your active squad does not use.
Do these in order
- 01
Unlock the Black Market, then improve its quality only if the next tier solves an immediate equipment gap.
- 02
Buy the first Medbay and Droid Repair capacity when injuries or damaged support units can block your next deployment.
- 03
Push Mid Zone Influence toward the facility-slot and squad-wide Weapon Mod rewards.
- 04
Take Combat Readiness and an additional Weapon Mod slot before broad luxury upgrades.
- 05
Upgrade damage or critical chance only for weapon types carried by multiple active operators.
The best upgrade is the one that compounds
Facilities, Crew, and Weapons compete for limited Credits. Access, action-economy, and squad-wide slot upgrades keep paying across multiple missions, while a discount or narrow weapon bonus pays only when its condition occurs. That makes unlocks and universal bonuses the safer early order.
Facilities first — but stop at useful capacity
Independent retail guides agree that early Black Market access and basic recovery capacity are valuable. The important restraint is not to overbuy: if one medical bed covers your actual injury rate, later Medbay discounts or slots can wait while Combat Readiness and mod capacity improve every deployment.
Why Mid Zone Influence is a priority
The current retail tree rewards middle-zone Influence with an additional facility-upgrade slot and a Weapon Mod slot across the roster. Those rewards widen future choices rather than solving only one encounter, so they are stronger long-horizon targets than scattered Influence purchases without a planned reward.
Crew and weapon spending
Combat Readiness improves the start of each fight, and another mod slot strengthens the equipment your team already carries. Weapon investments should follow usage: count how many active operators share a weapon family before buying its damage, critical, movement, range, or Overwatch nodes.
When to change the order
A Beskar or high-injury run can justify earlier recovery capacity. A wide roster can justify Crew Quarters or passive Bond support. A compact healthy squad should redirect those Credits into shared combat benefits. The order is a risk framework, not a fixed checklist for every campaign.
